:) that's where I'm a bit unconventional - it's an attempt (may be a poor one) to stabalize the character and develop his mind. The window thing has a roll later on, but the other bits were more of an attempt at the humorous side of life of some of the local working stiffs... and people washing windows do have a tendency to think about odd things. At least that's been my experience.

If ya couldn't tell, I ain't terrebly sure what I'm doing :p most of my experience has been writing mimicing stories, like Chauseur (sp?) Cantibury stuff - where the thought train was all that really mattered, because it was entertainment more along the lines of a comedy. Seinfeld in a book. Pretty much the rest of it has been a lackluster attempt at fantasy.
